Despite being in a small town in Iowa, we consider ourselves to be in “the middle of everywhere.” Our Graceland campus attracts students from all over the world and we can enjoy a multicultural university. From the bike trail to the local coffee shop, Lamoni has something for everyone.
Location, Location, Location
So one of the great things about Graceland's location is we consider ourselves to be in the middle of everywhere. And that's because, we've created a community here where everywhere comes to us. As far as location goes, this is a good place to be.
Ramona is a very small town. However, it is a very inclusive and safe community. We have a little downtown area, the linden tree coffeehouse is a really popular spot for college students. A popular thing also about how small Amona is you can walk everywhere. It's easy to walk to the store, to hitch a ride with your friends. It's really really simple. It's also well kept community and beautiful. We have a lot of trails that students walk on and bike when they want to get off campus. We have intramural fields that people go and do soccer on, or frisbee anything to kind of get out. We have the space for instance, you can walk everywhere, it's easy to get to. When Graceland students want to head out of town you have to Des Moines that's only an hour north, and then Kansas City, which is two hours south, and it's really popular to go to Kansas City. Do ice skating in the winter, go to a Royals game or go to Des Moines and go to Sky Zone and so it's not hard at all. And if you don't have a car, you carpool like it's you'll find a way to get there and it's very easy to do so.
Everything is very slow paced and you just feel like stress relief. That's the best thing about it is like, even driving, I just feel just at peace and like just the sunsets are just so gorgeous. And you know, the Midwest is a great place to be just because the people also. They just you know really welcome you and this is my home away from home. And I look, you know, I'm looking forward to staying here after college just because of how much I like it.
