Graceland has a history rooted in the liberal arts. And what that means for today is our liberal arts curriculum. Our liberal arts approach is a future focused approach. It's going to get you ready for career things like how you work with others in the teams. How you communicate effectively? Whether that's written, whether that's oral, whether that's in small groups. How do you think analytically? How do you think critically? Those are all important skills and important part of the liberal arts experience here at Graceland.
I think one big benefit that comes from being in a liberal arts school is that your education isn't just focused in your one field. My concentration here at Graceland is sustainability. But I've also been able to take English classes and History classes. And especially the English classes, I thought it gave me so many more great communication skills, which I know will benefit me. And it just, I feel like broadens my horizons, and makes me more adaptable to working with anyone or being in any place that I could possibly go in the future.
Graceland builds its programs in a way that they work together. And that's what liberal arts is all about. You have English majors and English faculty, who understand what's going on in the science department. That's what interdisciplinary is for us. We build all of our courses so that they can build on each other.
