At Graceland University, we're preparing students for a world we will never know. And we are hyper aware of that. So when you come to Graceland, you don't leave with a one dimensional experience. You're here to explore the interconnectedness of the world, and the best way to do that is through interdisciplinary studies to find the connections between and among all academic areas.
What happens in the liberal arts is you get to approach things from many, many different directions.
So you get to understand how you would solve a problem in a different kind of context. And that is absolutely critical. When we sit down and we think about the degrees that we are going to offer here. They have to have a relevancy for what's going on, not just today, but what's going on 15 years from now, 10 years from now. There's a certain set of skills you have to develop. And one of those skills is how do you adapt to new environments?
Studying at a liberal arts institution, I get to interact with a lot of different people. And a lot of people that think very diverse ways of thinking compared to myself. And then I get a lot of experience because of the connections I'm making here in the classroom. You get a really unique experience that's intersectional, one of a kind, and something that can connect with another major you're interested in, to really hone in what you're passionate about.
